When you use the blow dart you have to be ads. It will have 3 (+1) ammunition. When hit the the blow dart it will do 20 damage upon impact then an additional 3 damage for each poison tick, there will be 4 poison ticks(1 every second). On every tick you will get scanned, a new ping will happen every tick
